Bromide Banner.png

The history of Cornwall is written into the landscape. From the farming and mining industries to the natural forming by the unabated, Atlantic fronts that sweep across the peninsula with indifference...

This is a collection of photographs depicting the mercurial climate and singular beauty of this countryside, from the moorland to the coast.

The series takes it's name from the light sensitive paper used in the darkrooms of traditional analog photography; the strong contrasts of light and dark exposes the enigmatic and dreamlike quality of the countryside. The use of limited palette and vignetting, reminiscent of sepia toning enhances the drama and atmosphere of the subject.
